Dr. Gendy supports and advocates for patients at every stage of treatment. He helps them understand their diagnosis and educates them on the treatment options available, which can include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy. For malignant and benign blood disorders, he provides supportive treatments, including blood transfusions, intravenous iron therapy, bone marrow aspirations, and biopsies. Patients remain in his care from their initial diagnosis through final treatments and beyond, ensuring they always feel supported.
Dr. Gendy received his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed residency training at NYU Long Island School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship at NYU Langone’s Long Island Campus.
Before RCCA, Dr. Gendy practiced as a community oncologist at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey. He provided comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care while participating in clinical research to improve the standards of treatment for future patients. His research contributions have been published in ScienceDirect and JCO Oncology Practice.
Dr. Gendy is a member of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). These organizations connect hundreds of hematologists, oncologists, and medical researchers worldwide under the shared goal of improving treatments and patient care. As a member, he has access to the most current evidence-based oncology data and other resources to empower a higher level of care.

Dr. Gendy was inspired to become a doctor because of his natural inclination toward the sciences and complex problem-solving. He was particularly interested in hematology and medical oncology because of the enormous impact that these diagnoses have on patients and their loved ones. His goal is to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives, helping them navigate uncertain times while offering hope through modern, evolving treatments. He believes that although cancer is undeniably a difficult and life-altering diagnosis, it should never define the person. He aims to help patients preserve their quality of life and live meaningfully during a difficult time.
In his clinical practice, Dr. Gendy follows a philosophy based on personalized, evidence-based care, clear communication, and shared decision-making. He involves patients in their treatment, educating them and empowering them to make decisions about their care.
Dr. Gendy is also committed to delivering the most current care.
