About Erin Brady
Nurse Erin Brady has been practicing for over five years. During this time, she has learned that some of the most important lessons in medicine come from the patients. “My patients have taught me the true value of each and every day,” Erin says. “Every day is a gift.” When a patient’s health can change in an instant, it’s important to focus on the present and celebrate each little victory rather than getting anxious about challenges that have not come yet.
“Their patience and strength are inspiring,” Erin adds, “especially in such a vulnerable time.” She is constantly moved by the resilience her patients display.
Erin’s philosophy of care is a humanizing one. She believes that it’s important to build a rapport with each patient she serves. When living with a frightening diagnosis, patients want to receive care from a friend. “I want to know about them,” says Erin, and not just as a diagnosis. Instead, she works to build personal relationships. “Who they are, what they do, what they love – all of that will help them get through this tough battle.”
