Stuart Goldberg, MD
Dr. Stuart Goldberg specializes in medical oncology and leukemia, and is board certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine. For more than 15 years, Dr. Goldberg has been treating patients in the New Jersey community. Dr. Goldberg is actively involved in leukemia research.
Dr. Goldberg received his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He completed his residency at George Washington University Medical Center in internal medicine and conducted his fellowship training at George Washington University Medical Center in hematology oncology and at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in bone marrow transplantation.
Dr. Goldberg holds an appointment at Hackensack University Medical Center. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation, American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, International Society for Hematotherapy and Graft Engineering, Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, Southwest Oncology Group, Pennsylvania Society of Hematology and Oncology, Myelodysplastic Foundation, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Board of Trustees, Northern New Jersey Chapter, and the Multi-National Association for Supportive Care in Cancer.
Dr. Goldberg is the recipient of the Five Stars of Caring Award from Hackensack University Medical Center; Outstanding Achievement Award from King’s County Hospital Center, 100% Caring Award from the Othmer Cancer Center, Long Island College Hospital, Fifth District AHEPA Cancer Research Foundation. He was an American College of Physicians representative to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 1997 conference on the USPHS/IDSA/ASBMT Guidelines for the Prevention of Opportunistic Infections in Bone Marrow Transplant Patients. He also received the District of Columbia Hospital Association Community Service Commendation, Sandoz Pharmaceuticals’ Outstanding Medical Teaching Award, and the American Heart Association Commendation for original research.
