Brian H. Chon, M.D.
As a member of the American Medical Association and American Society for Radiation Oncology, Dr. Chon brings his expertise in cranial and extracranial stereotactic radiation therapy to our practice. He is also highly knowledgeable in high dose rate brachytherapy for the treatment of gynecologic and breast cancers.
After graduating with honors from Swarthmore College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Chon completed his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He was then nominated to Alpha Omega Alpha, a national medical honor society, from Rutgers University’s Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Dr. Chon completed his residency at Harvard University Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, with his chief residency and fellowship in radiation oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital. While at Harvard, he also completed a sub-fellowship in basic science research focused on breast cancer genetics.
In addition to his role at Regional Cancer Care Associates, Dr. Chon also serves as the Medical Director at ProCure Proton Therapy Center in Somerset, N.J. His extensive proton therapy experience stems from his time in Massachusetts, where he worked in both the Harvard Cyclotron Laboratory and the Francis H. Burr Proton Therapy Center at Massachusetts General Hospital.
