Dr. Carrie Brooke Wasserman specializes in medical oncology and hematology, and is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. For over 6 years, she has been treating patients in northern New Jersey and prior to that, in Manhattan. She has a particular interest in racial and ethnic disparities in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Wasserman received her undergraduate degree at Cornell University and her medical degree at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. She completed her internal medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital and her hematology/oncology fellowship at St. Luke’s - Roosevelt Hospital/ Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Wasserman is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American College of Physicians, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Wasserman served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital Center/New York Medical College from 2010 to 2012 where she taught and mentored the fellows, residents and students. Dr. Wasserman has served as Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Jersey City Medical Center/ Newark Beth Israel Medical Center since 2012, where she lectures and teaches residents and students. She is also a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and St. George’s University School of Medicine.
