In the fourth inning, attendees raised their Stand Up to Cancer\u00ae\u00a0signs in unison to \u201croot, root, root\u201d not for the home team but for people facing cancer and the clinicians and researchers working to give those patients hope, care, and cures.\u201cIt was both a great honor and great fun to throw out the first pitch,\u201d says Dr. Yamin, who \u2013 reliable sources report \u2013 hurled a four-seam fastball straight toward the strike zone. She adds, \u201cBaseball is an intrinsic part of summer on the Cape. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Michael\u2019s College, she attended medical school at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.
