Regional Cancer Care Associates’ Board of Managers has appointed Terrill Jordan the new President and CEO of Regional Cancer Care Associates LLC, effective January 1, 2016 at the start of RCCA’s new fiscal year. Jordan joined RCCA in 2012 and currently serves as RCCA’s Vice President and Chief Legal Officer. During his tenure, Jordan has been responsible for a wide range of important company initiatives that helped radically transform several independent private physician practices into one of the nation’s leading integrated oncology and hematology companies.
“As Regional Cancer Care Associates begins this new chapter, the RCCA Board and I enthusiastically support Mr. Jordan as our new leader,” said Edward Licitra, MD, PhD, Chairman of the RCCA Board of Managers. “He has a proven ability to organize and integrate systems and physicians which will be essential for our future expansion and success in this rapidly evolving and competitive health care environment.”
“I am honored that the Board has elected me as the next CEO, and I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead in our future. It is a privilege to be part of a company that delivers high quality cancer care and innovative treatments to patients in the communities in which we operate,” said Jordan. “RCCA, with its deep experience in providing high quality cancer care and its dual community and academic focus, is well-positioned to tap new opportunities during this time of tremendous healthcare change. I look forward to working with the entire RCCA team as we embark on this exciting journey. I will do my best to advance the company and help our patients and our physicians achieve their clinical goals.”
Mr. Jordan succeeds Andrew L. Pecora, MD, FACP, CPE, who is a founder of RCCA and served as president from the company’s formation. “RCCA has grown from an idea to one of our country’s largest multistate oncology/hematology specialty practices focused on delivering high quality compassionate value based care and innovation. We are proud to be leading the nation in creating new approaches to oncology care delivery with payers, our hospitals and referring physician partners that are designed to improve clinical outcomes, foster clinical integration with primary care physicians and hospitals and reduce total cost of care” said Pecora. “I plan to continue my efforts in care and reimbursement redesign working with RCCA. I could not be more pleased to have Terrill Jordan assume the role of President of RCCA.”
Dr. Pecora will continue as a member of the company and as a practicing oncologist at the John Theurer Cancer Center in Hackensack, New Jersey.
